Glentress Forest is a mountain biking Mecca lying deep within the heart of the stunning Tweed Valley. The cycling experience here includes a broad variety of trails as well as a multi-graded free-ride area, a bike shop and workshop facility, bike hire and cafeteria.
In the unlikely event that Glentress fails to quench your thirst for biking exhilaration, you’re only a short hop to Innerleithen, with it’s famouse downhill trails and some fabulous cross country tracks.
Trails are FREE and normally accessible 24 x 7 with exceptions for extraordinary events such as extreme weather and pandemics! Always check with Forestry & Land Scotland before coming, just in case.
Parking: All you need to pay for is your parking:
- £2 for up to 1 hour
- £3.50 for up to 3 hours
- £5 for full day
- £20 for minibus and coach all day.
The Valley and surrounding area’s also have some incredible road routes often used to host events at every level. Varied roads and stunning scenery make it perfect.
Forestry and Land Scotland have invested tremendously into the Mountain Biking schemes here at Glentress and throughout the area. The 7 Stanes and Glentress Peel Projects have created some fantastic trail centres with excellent facilities.
